Our outing in the country

We drove by a sign right across the street from our neighborhood that said there was a pumpkin patch just down the lane. I've seen the sign several times but never thought to check it out. Today we just decided to stop by to see if they had pumpkins for sale rather than going to the grocery store.

We were pleasantly surprised to find a little working farm tucked away among all the houses around this area. 10 years ago all this area was farms so I guess this little farm didn't sell out to all the builders.

Anyway we took a little hayride and saw chickents, pigs, goats, cows, horses, cats, dogs, and even a nice donkey. We were able to pick up a few pumpkins and it turned into a nice little family outing.
