I don't want all the Utahns to be jealous or anything, but....it was just amazing:) Take a look at our beautiful trail.
OK, so the trail wasn't all that we had hoped for. As a matter of fact, we found that it was so NOT beautiful that we had a contest to see who could find the first pretty thing. Josh was first to see a bird. We actually saw a hawk, a cardinal, and a road runner, which were pretty cool.
Then Breanna pointed out the landscape with the leafless trees on a blue sky background. Again, pretty cool, if you ask me.
Well it may have been if there was any water in it! We're in a bit of a drought here.
Since we could actually walk on the lake rather than along the shore, we decided to take a walk out on Grapevine Lake.
I found this yellow lady bug as my "pretty" thing. It might be a stretch, but hey, there really wasn't much to choose from.
Then Jason found some very pretty clam shells. They were strewn all along the lake bed. Quite impressive, I know.
Here are some other pretty pictures (only because the people in them are amazingly pretty).
Jason and the kids found an "anchor" (actually a brick with a rope tied to it). They got quite muddy trying to find the boat attached to it. Yeah, they really thought they would find a boat at the other end. No such luck, just mud.
So that is the end of our hike to Grapevine Lake. Hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.

Maybe the hike wasn't all it was cracked up to be but atleast you can say you did it. you had to atleast enjoy the warmth there while we sit here and suffer the cold. HE HE HE
