Last night was our ward's pine wood derby. This was Joshua's (and our) last derby. The past two years Joshua's car has been a bit on the sluggish side. There were a few runs where the cars didn't even pass the finish line. Josh took this quite hard last year. So this year, after consulting a few friends and reading up on the internet about how to make the cars go fast, we finally got a car that Josh could be proud of.

As you can see Joshua was pretty thrilled. He had a permagrin on all night. Amazingly, out of 22 cars, he got first. 
In this picture you can see Joshua's car's tail end passing the finish line. I wasn't quite fast enough to get it in.
Here is a picture of his three cars from the past three years. Can you tell Joshua's favorite colors are silver and any other metalic color? All three of his cars are really similar in style and color.
