Our vacation: part 1, Logan

I am finally getting a few moments to blog our vacation from the summer. I'm going to do it in separate parts, starting with Logan.

We spent a couple of days in Logan at the beginning of our vacation and then a few more days at the end of our vacation.

One of our favorite things to do when we are in Logan is to go to Tony Grove up Logan canyon. I must admit, although I am biased, Logan canyon is one of the prettiest places to go in the summer, and Tony grove is among the best spots. We walked around the lake and enjoyed the wonderful cool temperatures. The kids even got to play in the snow, at the end of July. What fun.

Another fun thing we get to do whenever we visit Grandma and Grandpa Soda is play Kubb. It is a game from Sweden. The goal is to knock down the opponents wooden dowels. We always have some good competition.

Although we don't see them often, we always enjoy seeing our good friends, the Markworths. It is always good to catch up and see how their family is doing. Thanks for taking time out of your busy day to see us!

While we were in Logan we got to go to my alma mater, Logan high, to see a performance by some Irish dancers (just like Riverdance). We all really enjoyed that (especially Breanna).

We also enjoyed taking a picnic up Logan canyon one day. Later that night we had a girl's night/boy's night. The girls went out to eat at the Olive Garden and then we had mannies and peddies at Aunt Kari's salon. The boys went out to eat at Wingers (and got some atomic wings which I was told are awesome) and then played some pool a little later.

Utah State is always one of our stops when we are in Logan. Aggie ice cream is a must and brings back so many wonderful memories :).

We had a wonderful time in Logan and enjoyed the company of family, the beautiful surroundings and temperatures, and seeing how it has changed.
