Diabetes Walk

On Saturday we had the privilege to going to the School Walk For Diabetes that the Keller School District sponsored. It was a beautiful day and there was a great turn out, hundreds in fact. It was a great feeling to see all those people out supporting a cause dear to our hearts. It was good for Josh too, to see all the older kids who were volunteers who have diabetes, and see how happy and healthy they were.

Josh's goal was to walk at least three miles in the hour we had to walk. We made it and actually went 3 1/4 miles. We were a bit hot when it was done, but Josh was happy and feeling great (finally over his sickness), so we had a great time.

Last year they earned the most of any school in North Texas, and earned the 8th most in the nation of any school. I think they did better this year.

Bree had a soccer game immediately after, so she was all warmed up to go.
