It's finally fall!

We have finally reached fall here in Texas. And for the first time since we've lived here, our red oak tree in front of our house is actually getting red leaves. Other years, for reasons I am not aware of, the leaves have just turned brown and fallen off. We just don't have the pretty falls like Utah has, so it has been nice to see a bit of color down here for a change.

The temperatures have been fabulous. It is a bit chilly in the morning, but by the afternoon it is in the mid 70s. I think it is the best time of year here in Texas. Unfortunately, nobody will be able to enjoy it with us, because some people (Mom and Dad or Virginia) would rather spend Thanksgiving elsewhere. Oh well, your loss :)

Anyway, I hope you all have a nice cold fall elsewhere.



How do you like our mutant dwarf red oak? It would rather grow outward than upward. It definitely makes mowing a pain.
