Her concentration look (tongue and all). I love it.
She is winding up for a goal (she made it).
Bree's soccer season is almost over. Bree's team only has one more game and a final tournament. Their season has been much harder than in the past. We lost one of our best player (to softball) and we gained three brand new players who didn't know anything about soccer. Because of this our team struggled a bit more. In season's past, Bree's team wouldn't really have much competition, they dominated. But this season, they have lost two games and the other games have been much closer.
One of the teams we lost to, is an academy team, meaning they are select and play year round. They use this league just as practice. We lost 1-3. The coach on the other team said we were the best he has played in this league by far (we haven't had to play them in the past) which was nice of him to say. Unfortunately, we will most likely have to face them again in the tournament.
Breanna has enjoyed it. She just loves running. She can't sit still long at all.
Here are a few clips from her last game. She is the right forward, closest to the camera.
Later addition: (June 14)
Bree's team played in the final tournament a couple of weekends ago. They played up, meaning the teams they played were a year older than them. They had to play 8 on 8 which our girls haven't learned yet. So coach Jim asked Bree to play striker, which is the most forward center position for the offense (this is the one position the girls have never played, but Jim felt Bree would figure it out easily so he put her there).
They played three games (one Friday night, two on Saturday). The temps were in the mid 90's, which was a killer. However, our team did fabulously. In fact they did so well they made it into the finals (on Sunday of course). Bree scored half their goals in the three games she played in. Her coach was really complimentary about her playing striker. He said she's a natural striker and he will put her there next year.
Unfortunately, they must play on Sundays and Bree doesn't play on Sundays. Soooo, our team (minus Bree) played their hearts out, but lost 0-1. The one goal the other team made was on a penaltly kick. The girls were heartbroken. To make matters worse, our team only had 8 girls, which meant no subs. Who knows what the outcome would have been if they'd played a different day with Bree there. The coach was very nice and understanding, but I worry the other parents don't understand why Bree won't play on Sundays. This is the one thing I don't like about Texas, they play on Sundays and it is a challenge for these kids to be the odd one out.
Later at their end of the season party, Jim was going around saying nice things about each of the players. He said that Bree was the most talented player he has seen and the natural leader of the team. It was very nice of him to say this.

I cant wait for Ry to start playing sports...and I am desperately hoping she falls in love with soccer. I have always wanted to have a kid do that sport...no clue why, but I have one more chance. Way to go Bree
