How sad is it when your kids are much more excited about your dog's birthday than they are their mom's birthday? Oh well, that was the case here this year (which I am actually OK with, I don't like a lot of attention on my b-day).Chloe turned one on the 21st so we had to have a celebration for her. The kids were out of school so they got the whole day to enjoy the dog.
Chloe got a "doll" named LULU and she loved it and licked it.....
... for about 10 minutes before tearing her to shreds. It was cute while it lasted.We had recently seen an episode of the Cake Boss where they made a cake for some dogs. So the kids insisted on making a cake for Chloe. It was a luscious cake made of peanut butter, flour, an egg, some honey and some crushed up dog treats. The frosting was cream cheese mixed with honey, sprinkled with more crushed dog treats. Doesn't that sound delicious?
Chloe like it A LOT! She whined and sniffed around the counter it was placed on all day. We waited until Jason got home to give it to her. She snarfed that thing down in only a few bites (we had to save half because we didn't' want her to get sick) and kept choking on it (dumb dog). She didn't even savor it at all.
Anyway, I think Chloe had a good day:)
