Bowling

I have learned that children have a way of humbling you in so many ways. They seem to notice and point out everything that is wrong with you. For instance, Breanna will always ask, not so subtly, "mom, why is your nose always red?", or "dad, why is your hair falling out?", or "what is that big red dot in the middle of your head, dad?", or "mom, why is your hair so funny today?"

On the other hand, children can also humble you without saying a thing. For example, the other day we took the kids bowling. We do this once a year over Christmas break. It is a nice tradition where we can show our kids what cool parents they have. We try to teach them bowling form and technique. We demonstrate how to hold the ball correctly and how to smoothly roll the ball toward the pins.

This year however, the kids didn't listen to any of this. They decided to make up their own bowling techniques and show their mom and dad that we really don't know much at all. Here are a couple of videos of our kids in action.
